Join us on the Transformers: REANIMATED Discord chat server! Anyone can join.
I decided to set up a Discord chat server because I have been thinking a lot about creating a Patreon account for this project. Each month I pay out of pocket to commission comic book artists to create beautiful covers for Transformers: REANIMATED. With this monthly comic now at issue 9, those commission costs have added up.
If I am able to set up a Patreon account I believe Discord will be the best platform in which rewards to donators can be delivered. Since discord is available on all major operating systems and smartphones it just makes sense at this stage. But first, let us talk a little more about Discord.
What exactly is Discord? Their website states the following:
Discord is the easiest way to communicate over voice, video, and text, whether you’re part of a school club, a nightly gaming group, a worldwide art community, or just a handful of friends that want to hang out.
Greig and I have been using Discord for years now. It’s been an invaluable tool in our other podcasting projects and with speaking to the community of listeners of those projects. It has allowed listeners to join us on live recordings of episodes and contribute to them in real-time. We think that because of this Discord can be just as valuable for Transformers: REANIMATED.
So why would we like you to join our Discord chat server? Because honestly, we could use your help to grow. Discord will allow you to chat with Greig and I directly in real-time. We also want to use discord to chat about possible Patreon rewards. If you were to join our Patreon program what would you like to see as a reward? We already have a few ideas, but you might have better ones. So come join us and share your ideas. We really want to hear them!
