Now, let us talk about Issue #78!
Investigative journalist, Hector Ramirez, travels to Washington State to see the construction of Autobot City for himself. With Autobots and humans working side-by-side on the world’s single largest construction project, Hector will interview those closest to it to find out if a city built with Cybertronian technology is really a good idea for mankind. Will Ramirez’s groundbreaking journalism provide the reassurance that Earth needs the Autobots? Or will unseen forces cause Hector to become the story rather than reporting it?
We are kicking off 2026 with the triumphant return of Ed Pirrie on cover duties, alongside colorist Kris Carter. Together, they have delivered a bright, bold, and unmistakably G1 cover that screams classic Transformers and launches the New Year in style! We have even incorporated The Tyco Transformers Electric Train and Battle Set!
The cover for Issue #78 draws inspiration from the iconic Creepshow #1 cover by Michael Walsh. It’s been reimagined through a pure 1980s Transformers lens. What was once creepy has been transformed into something straight out of the Saturday-morning cartoon!
Written by Greig Tansley from the Unfunny Nerd Tangent podcast and Youseph (Yoshi) Tanha from the YoshiCast, this G1-style adventure continues the REANIMATED mission:
bridging the gap between Season Two of the cartoon and the 1986 Transformers Movie that defined a generation of millions.
