After a brutal fight with Menasor leaves Groove suffering from a metallurgic reaction, First Aid is feeling the pressures of war. Bandaging up soldiers and putting them back on the front lines has taken an unspoken toll on the Autobot medic. Working with Perceptor the two synthesize an Energon based serum that can save Grove’s life. But, running out of time, First Aid tests the serum on himself with unexpected side effects.
Will the Protectobots be able to rein in their friend before he destroys everything in sight? Or will we bear witness to the unexpected birth of a new supervillain? Or two?
This wild new cover for issue 84 has been expertly brought to you by the talented hands of cover artist, Winston Chan. Winston, who is no stranger to creating wonderful covers for us, brings a fantastic cover to life, homaging the first issue of The Incredible Hulk. A cover originally drawn by the legendary Jack Kirby. We chose this homage because we feel it best shows off the internal struggles that the Autobot, First Aid is experiencing in this suspenseful issue.
Written by Greig Tansley from the Unfunny Nerd Tangent podcast and Youseph (Yoshi) Tanha from the YoshiCast, this G1-style adventure continues the REANIMATED mission: Bridging the gap between Season Two of the cartoon and the 1986 Transformers Movie that defined the choldhood of millions.
