The Transformers: REANIMATED kicks off June with one far out story. An unexpected issue that will leaving you scratching your head while still wanting more. What better way to express the “what is going on here?” feeling than throwing a Mecannibal on the cover and asking yourself, “Should I be worried about Sunstreaker?”

The answer: Yes. Yes you should.

A distress call. An inhospitable planet, and a crew lead by Ironhide – plagued by more than just mystery and secrets. What does it mean to be happy? Is seeing believing? Or does the opportunity for endless happiness hide a more sinister truth? Caught underground, trapped in a dimension of sight and sound, Ironhide and his crew must determine the nature of reality, the difference between dream and nightmare, and ultimately – what does it mean to be more than meets the eye?

This arachnophobic cover for issue 83 has been skin-tinglingly brought to life by dynamic team of Casey Coller and John-Paul Bove. Our artists took inspiration from Michael Kaluta’s work on House of Mystery 265 to create this truly creepy cover that harkens back to the glory days of the Marvel comics – stories that heavily influenced Greig and I as fans, and now – writers.

Written by Greig Tansley from the Unfunny Nerd Tangent podcast and Youseph (Yoshi) Tanha from the YoshiCast, this G1-style adventure continues the REANIMATED mission: Bridging the gap between Season Two of the cartoon and the 1986 Transformers Movie that defined the choldhood of millions.
