We’ve made it! Something that hasn’t happened since Marvel did it back in 1991. The Transformers: REANIMATED has reached issue 80 and we couldn’t be more excited to to talk about it. Six years of steadily releasing a new issue each month, with no signs of stopping!
Greig and I have been crafting G1 Transformers comic book scripts together month after month now for 80 months. No skippages. No delays. Continuous G1 goodness for you, the fans.
We started with late night calls to come up with story ideas, read throughs, final edits, and dreaming up cover concepts. Since then the work has evolved. We still talk with each other daily. Though now its a lot more text messages and fewer calls. We have gotten into a rhythm. Working to each other’s strengths we have been able to craft 80 unique releases all with the goal of bridging the 20 year gap left between the end of the original series second season and the 1986 animated movie.
Along the way we’ve been aided by many experienced Transformers comic book artists that have been generous with their advice, talents, and time. Without their support, Transformers: REANIMATED would not be the incredible project it has developed into.
How much longer is The Transformers: REANIMATED going to go? We can’t tell you. All we can say is that Greig and I are having a lot of fun working on this project together. We still look forward to coming up with new story ideas and cover concepts. We love seeing the reactions to our stories online.
